My meeting with Prof. David Stanley

I'm meeting with David Stanley today. He is a relatively new prof to U of G, but is destined to a great career in teaching (and research too) as indicated by students on ratemyprofessors.com.

I would like to work with David to make a fully online introductory stats course for the psychology department.

I had a chance to speak with Stuart Robertson about adoption today. I forgot to mention the challenge .

I will mention it next time we speak.

His ideas were sound and very clear.

RSS and Weblogs @ U of G!

Stuart Robertson gave me access to UoG weblogs yesterday. This iniative may prove interesting -- as informal learning in a formal learning environment continues to gain momentum. Would you like a RSS in your course? Would you like to learn more about UoG weblogs? Maybe we can talk.

IPI now has a RSS!

Thanks to Jeff Morrison and Glenn Roberts for supporting/ assisting in launching a feed in the Introduction to Plant Identification. We will be seeking evaluations in order to see the value (if any) of this exercise. mike
